王华民

王华民，浙江杭州人。凌迪科技Style3D 首席科学家。1998年因成绩优异，于浙江大学附属中学完成两年的高中学业，被保送至浙江大学混合班，现浙江大学竺可桢学院，主修计算机专业，2002年王华民于浙江大学获计算机本科学位。2004年于美国斯坦福大学获计算机硕士学位，2009年于美国佐治亚理工学院获博士学位。博士毕业以后,王华民前往加州大学伯克利分校从事博士后研究工作。2011年完成博士后研究，加入美国俄亥俄州立大学担任计算机系助理教授。2017年,王华民被提升为俄亥俄州立大学终身教授。自2021年起，任STYLE 3D浙江凌迪数字科技有限公司首席科学家。
王华民在各类顶级计算机图形学、计算机视觉会议与期刊发布了近五十篇论文,获得两项发明专利,并多次受邀在SIGGRAPH、SIGGRAPH Asia、 Eurographics上开设讲学课程。值得一提的是,他还作为唯一作者发表过三篇独自完成的SIGGRAPH论文,这在图形学领域是非常少见的,足以见王华民在该领域的顶级实力。

Huamin Wang is the Chief Scientist at Style3D. From 2011 to 2021, he was an associate professor in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Ohio State University. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009, the M.S. degree from Stanford University in 2004 and the B.Eng. degree from Zhejiang University in 2002.
He is broadly interested in physics-based modeling and animation, and he has published nearly 50 journal articles in this field, including 30+ papers at SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia. His recent research is focused on real-time simulation of cloth and soft bodies, using graphics hardware acceleration and deep learning techniques. He also works on practical mechanical property acquisition of real-world fabrics.
