修东滨

修东滨教授是计算数学领域的国际著名学者，不确定性量化学科的重要奠基人。他本科毕业于浙江大学力学系，后赴美国弗吉尼亚大学机械与航空系就读硕士。博士期间，他师从美国应用数学领域的著名学者George Karniadakis教授，并于2003年获得美国布朗大学（Brown University）应用数学系博士学位。修东滨教授在2009年获得了美国普渡大学的终身副教授职位，并于2012年获升为终身正教授。他稍后再2013年入职美国犹他大学(University of Utah)，在数学系、科学计算与影像研究院担任终身正教授。2016年，修东滨教授获得美国俄亥俄州终身杰出学者奖，于同年加入美国俄亥俄州立大学数学系，担任终身正教授。
修东滨教授作为不确定性量化学科的重要奠基人，研究成果丰硕且影响巨大，获得了美国国家科学基金委、美国能源部等国家级机构的长期资助。他先后在Journal of Scientific Computing、Journal of Computational Physic等计算数学领域的国际顶级期刊上发表了近107篇论文，总引用超过12900次，H-index为36次。
